An open letter to the Board of Directors and Upper Officers of Mid West Energy.
To be read at the May 26 meeting.
It is good to go back to the coop you should have never left.
What has to be is this:  the Board of Directors can only be advisory and collect the information and submit it to the Member Customer for their Approval or Rejection .

The Member Customers must have the option to remove board members not
preforming correctly.
Once the member customers get control of things the rates should be
reduced. no more 3 card Molly or Shell Games with no Peanuts!!!
Anything else will be Commandeering and Racketeering,!!!!.
The Member Customer would be just like the township boards in Michigan where they can address the board and the board doesn’t have to listen. [Or so they think]
The rogue agency referred to as the public service commission must be dissolved
and what needs to be done will be done by the elected state legislature like it should be where the people have the last word!!.

You can see very well by the May 5 state proposal election that the
people have had enough and will have the last word.
We would like to know why Midwest Energy is acquiring all these
Renewable credits when they have or produce no renewable energy?
The funds wasted by the public service commission could have put Midwest Energy well on its way to owning a renewable system.

Back in 2009 an article came out in the “Michigan Country Lines” stating
that Electricity will become a pricey Luxury rather than an affordable
staple, Midwest Energy has done a great job at making this happen.
The membership certificate issued when people apply for
service should be 1 share of stock in Midwest Energy rather than a
membership.

Dear Charles,

Thank you for contacting me about the use of nuclear power.  I understand your views.

I am deeply concerned about our dependence on foreign oil and the impact of high energy costs on Michigan families. I support using a diverse set of power sources to alleviate our energy problems. Right now, Michigan’s top three energy sources are coal, nuclear power, and natural gas. Combined, these sources generate about 90 percent of our electricity.

As Japan continues to heal from the earthquake, tsunami, and catastrophic meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, the United States needs to continue its work to better prepare our nuclear facilities in the event of a natural disaster.  Michigan is home to three nuclear plants, and it is important that these plants have stringent emergency plans in place for the safety and well-being of Michigan families.

In Michigan, we know that keeping power on for our homes and businesses isn’t a luxury but a necessity.  In the long term, we need to find ways to become energy independent by investing in alternative energy, renewable fuels, and other innovative technologies.  As the Senate debates these energy issues, including nuclear power, I will keep your views in mind.

Thank you for contacting me.  Please do not hesitate to do so again if I can be of assistance to you or your family.

Sincerely,
Debbie
Stabenow
United States Senator
